First prize plaque On Sunday, the 29th of September we had our first car treasure hunt and a great success it was, everyone enjoyed it including the one or two that got lost, but they even enjoyed getting lost and found their way back to the centre to enjoy the raffle and burgers or hotdogs prior to the prize giving and raffle. With the prizegiving complete we all and went home feeling that it was a Sunday afternoon well spent and thankfully despite the forecast there was no rain. Some of the locals were a wee bit dismayed as they don’t normally see cars but clearly they wondered what was going on.

The questions were the real decider, or rather the answers, and the first second and third cars did very well to answer the questions that they did. I had underestimated the combined brain power of our Rotarians, but we can sort that out for next year.

I will also consider having a marriage guidance councillor on hand for next year 🤪.

As usual, our members rose to the task and enabled the event to run very smoothly. My sincere thanks go to all your help to run the event and all those that took part and hope to see you all next year. 😂

The figures have yet to be finalised but we raised around £300 for one of our local charities which made the afternoon well worth it.
