Meetings resumed on 10 January at Dumfries Arms Hotel after the Christmas break. There was an attendance of 8, and outline plans for the new year were discussed. A revival of the Primary 7 Quiz contest was considered, and a provisional date 21 April was agreed. The idea of involvement in the Young Environmentalist competition aroused interest and will be given further consideration. RAD Hotel Group prize vouchers were won by Peter Shipton £70, Jimmy McGhee £40 and Agnes Cowan £30.
At our meeting on 24 January the attendance was again 8 and further discussions on future plans were held. We agreed to take a stall again at the Mauchline Holy Fair, scheduled for Saturday 27 May. A joint Burns Night to be organised by Loudoun Rotary looks unlikely to be pursued this year.
